The first book resulting from the “Making Space for Festival” conference held in Venice in 2013 (jointly organized by PALATIUM and the Society for European Festivals Research) has now been published: Architectures of Festival in Early Modern Europe: Fashioning and Re-fashioning Urban and Courtly Space, edited by J.R. Mulryne, Krista De Jonge, Pieter Martens, R.L.M. Morris, published by Routledge, 2017. It contains fourteen papers; the other papers presented at the Venice conference will appear in the forthcoming companion volume Occasions of State.
